Packers sign nine to future contracts

The Green Bay Packers signed nine of their 10 practice-squad players to future contracts Tuesday, including second-year receiver Myles White.

The rest includes: defensive backs Jean Fanor and Tay Glover-Wright, outside linebacker Adrian Hubbard, running back Rajion Neal, inside linebacker Joe Thomas and offensive linemen Jeremy Vujnovich, Josh Walker and Joe Madsen.

White, 24, is the only player with any actual in-game NFL experience. He played in seven games for Green Bay during the 2013 season after Randall Cobb broke his tibia, but never received the call-up this season. Hubbard, White and Vujnovich went to training camp with the Packers and lasted the entire season on the practice squad.

Neal and Thomas returned midseason after reaching injury settlements sustained in training camp. Both undrafted rookies impressed early. The Packers also must like what they've seen in Madsen, a former center at West Virgina, who was signed earlier this month.

The only practice-squad player the Packers didn't immediately sign was receiver Alex Gillett, a converted quarterback from Eastern Michigan who went to camp with the team in each of the past two seasons
