Thompson, McCarthy set combine appearances

Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy are scheduled to speak next Thursday at the NFL scouting combine, the team announced Tuesday.

Thompson will conduct his formal podium interview with reporters at 9 a.m. CST with McCarthy following at 2 p.m. CST. The combine is Feb. 17-23 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis with more than 320 players expected to attend.

The media portion of the event takes place Feb. 18-21.

Traditionally, Thompson and McCarthy will field additional questions with local reporters off to the side once their news conference has concluded.

There's also a possibility McCarthy could speak to reporters this week if he finalizes his coaching staff.
