Bush won't face charges in California arrest

Green Bay Packers cornerback Jarrett Bush was arrested Sunday morning in his hometown of Vacaville, Calif., on suspicion of public intoxication and was later released with no charges, according to Vacaville police.

Bush, 30, was detained for disorderly conduct while under the influence early Sunday following a disturbance in front of Evelyn's Big Italian Restaurant in downtown Vacaville, according to an arrest report.

The report states a large fight took place outside the restaurant. When officers arrived, a large gathering had formed was asked to leave the area. Officers said Bush "refused to leave and continued to create a disturbance, and as a result he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication."

Bush was booked by the Vacaville Police Department at 3:21 a.m. Sunday and given a $1,600 bail, according to Solano County jail online records. Police said he was cooperative after being placed on detention hold and was released with no charges filed.

Bush is the second Packers free agent arrested within the past month. In early February, defensive tackle Letroy Guion was arrested in Starke, Fla., and charged two felony counts of drug possession and carrying a gun in commission of a felony.

Bush is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on March 10. A nine-year veteran, he's been a leader inside Green Bay's locker room and was voted a special teams captain for the Packers' playoff push last season
