Packers fill out roster with UFA Kowalski

The Green Bay Packers rounded out their offseason roster on Tuesday with the signing of Villanova tackle Vince Kowalski.
Kowalski (6-4, 305) started all 48 games in his four-year career with the Wildcats. He ran a 5.26-second time in the 40-yard dash at his March pro day with 28 reps of 225 pounds, a 29-inch vertical, 9-0 broad jump and 7.97 three-cone drill, according to NFL Draft Scout.
Kowalski, who'll wear No. 50, was named first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association as a senior after aiding the Wildcats to a 10-2 campaign.
He weighed only 292 pounds at his pro day and was projected by many draft pundits as an interior lineman, but the Packers must have seen something they like to start Kowalski at tackle in making him the 16th offensive lineman on Green Bay's offseason roster.
The Packers have taken their time filling out their 90-man roster. In fact, they were one of only two teams under the limit prior to Tuesday.
