Packers cut CB Bernard Blake

Less than a week away from the start of training camp, the Green Bay Packers have released cornerback Bernard Blake.
Blake, who was waived with a non-football illness designation, was a full participant in offseason practices. He signed for $3,500 as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State on May 8.
The 5-foot-11, 178-pound cornerback finished with 38 tackles, 11 pass breakups and one interception during his senior year with the Rams after notching 64 tackles, 12 pass breakups and an interception the year prior. He started 25 of his 47 collegiate games.
Blake ran a 4.51 in the 40 with a 31½-inch vertical jump and 10-7 broad jump. Recorded 9 bench reps of more than 225 pounds with a 7.12 time in the three-cone drill. He was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 17.
