Adams, Burnett, Lang practice in pads
Wide receiver Davante Adams, safety Morgan Burnett and right guard T.J. Lang didn't have any setbacks in their return to practice on Wednesday, enabling them to participate in the Green Bay Packers' padded practice on Thursday.
Lang (knee sprain) said he intends to play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers at Lambeau Field. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said before practice that Adams (ankle) and Burnett (calf) were expected to do more in Thursday's practice.
Burnett has missed four of the team's first five games. Adams has sat out the past two weeks after aggravating his sprained left ankle against Kansas City. Outside linebacker Nick Perry (shoulder) and defensive tackle B.J. Raji (groin) attended practice on Thursday, but didn't participate.
The only player who was absent Thursday was defensive lineman Datone Jones.
Perry, who left in the second quarter of Sunday's game, was said to be the furthest away of all the Packers' injured players, but it doesn't appear the Packers fear a long-term absence.
"The report this morning is he's advancing through the process better than expected. So is B.J.," McCarthy said. "Those guys are making grogress."
