Updated: The Green Bay Packers secondary continues to lose players, and that's not a good thing against Peyton Manning on this night.

Rookie Quinten Rollins and veteran cornerback Sam Shields have been ruled out for the rest of the game, each with a shoulder injury. Meanwhile, Manning and the Broncos lead 17-7 early in the second half.

Here's our Shields report from the first quarter...

Green Bay Packers cornerback Sam Shields walked to the locker room with a shoulder injury in the first quarter of Sunday night's game against the Denver Broncos, and his return is questionable.

Shields absence could be crucial with the Packers secondary matching up against Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. The Packers' top cornerback was injured during the Broncos' second possession, a nine-play, 83-yard drive that ended with a 1-yard touchdown run from Ronnie Hillman.

PackersNews.com will provide any updates on Shields' situation as they become available.
