Packers could be shorthanded at WR

Green Bay downgraded Ty Montgomery to doubtful Saturday after he aggravated a sprained ankle this week, and that could leave the Packers with only four wide receivers for their game Sunday at Minnesota.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Ty Montgomery (88) is tackled by San Diego Chargers strong safety Jahleel Addae (37) after making a catch at Lambeau Field October 18, 2015. Montgomery was injured on the play.

The Packers (6-3) have no plans to promote wide receiver Ed Williams from the practice squad for Sunday's game, according to a source. That would leave Green Bay with only Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, James Jones and Jeff Janis at the position against the Vikings (7-2).

The Packers also added cornerback Damarious Randall to the injury report, listing him as questionable with a hamstring injury.

Defensive back Micah Hyde (hip) and guard T.J. Lang (shoulder) were upgraded to probable.
