Tretter starts; Linsley, Hyde inactive

With the rain pouring at Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers could use a solid running game on Thanksgiving night like they got four days earlier in Minnesota.

They'll have to assert their ground attack without starting center Corey Linsley. JC Tretter will get his first career start against the Chicago Bears in place of Linsley, who left in the first quarter against the Vikings with an ankle injury.

Tretter was the presumed starting center during training camp last year until a knee injury opened the door for Linsley, a second-year center who had started every game in his career. Now, it's Linsley's injury that will open the door for Tretter to get more snaps.

On a short week, defensive back Micah Hyde (hip) also will be unable to play against the Bears. Hyde was limited in practice this week after leaving in the first half against the Vikings. He said there would have been a higher chance he could play if this week's game was on a Sunday, but his hip apparently was not ready with only three day's rest.

Here is the full list of the Packers' seven inactives vs. the Bears:

7 QB Brett Hundley
33 DB Micah Hyde
46 RB Alonzo Harris
55 LB Andy Mulumba
63 C Corey Linsley
84 WR Jared Abbrederis
88 WR Ty Montgomery
