Jayrone Elliott awaiting MRI results
Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Jayrone Elliott underwent an MRI on Monday after aggravating a quadriceps injury during Sunday’s 30-20 victory at Oakland, but said he didn’t yet know the results.

“It’s a little better than yesterday, still a little tight,” said Elliott, who has been dealing with the nagging injury for much of the season. “I guess it’s one of those things that just takes time. It’s day by day.”
Asked if he expected to be able to play Sunday at Arizona, Elliott said, “That’s the goal. Got to come in tomorrow, talk to the doc, see what his plan is for me.”
Elliott said he didn’t know when or how the injury occurred during the Raiders game but that he noticed it on the sidelines during a lengthy drive by the Packers’ offense.
“I sat down and it kind of tightened up on me,” the 6-foot-3, 255-pound linebacker said. “I tried to get on the bike to loosen it up but it just wouldn’t let me go.”
Elliott said he has been trying different ways on his own of managing the injury.
“I guess I’ve got to do more yoga or something,” Elliott said. “A little bit more stretching tonight and hydration. It’s something I can prevent but I’ve just got to take care of my body.”
