Packers plan two draft parties

The Green Bay Packers are planning two events for the 2016 NFL draft this month, one of which will be in Chicago.

A pep rally is set for April 28, the first day of the draft, at Will's Northwoods Inn, 3030 N. Racine Ave., Chicago. For the second straight year, Chicago is hosting the draft.

1919 Kitchen & Tap in Lambeau Field will host a draft party on April 30, the final day of the three-day draft extravaganza.

The Chicago rally, which will begin at 7:30 p.m., will include Packers alumni Gary Ellerson, Mark Chmura, Mark Tauscher and Frank Winters. The event will feature raffles, giveaways and specials from the venue.

The Lambeau Field event will begin at 10 a.m. with a program at 11 a.m. Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy and Packers alumni Jerry Kramer and Dave Robinson will participate. Giveaways, raffles and special menu items will be included.

Each event will include draft coverage on TVs throughout the venues and Wi-Fi Internet access.

Round one of the NFL draft begins at 7 p.m. April 28. The second day of the draft, featuring rounds two and three, begins at 6 p.m. April 29. Rounds four through seven will be conducted beginning at 11 a.m. April 30.
