The Green Bay Packers announced Wednesday afternoon they released offensive lineman Vince Kowalski, opening a spot on their 90-man roster.
Kowalski, a 6-foot-4, 305-pound lineman out of Villanova, spent training camp with the Packers last year after signing in June. He re-signed with the Packers in March and has been part of the team's offseason program this spring. He is a versatile lineman, capable of playing guard and tackle.
The Packers now have 89 players on their roster, counting unsigned first-round rookie Kenny Clark. There is no indication of whether the Packers plan to fill that spot, and when that would happen.
