Tennessee Titans rookie receiver Treylon Burks "labored" through some pre-draft workouts, which was a "red flag" for certain teams, according to a report Monday from Sports Illustrated's MMQB.

The report surfaces as the first-round pick has struggled to make it through some of his first practices with the Titans. He didn't finish his first day of rookie minicamp earlier this month or organized team activities last Tuesday, leaving both sessions at least twice.

When asked about Burks' issue, coach Mike Vrabel has been vague. He said he defers to Todd Toriscelli, the team’s director of sports medicine, on health situations with players.

"We have to get these guys in here," Vrabel said May 13. "We have to study. Teach them our program. … I think it's hard to think that (the players) can recreate with a trainer how we do things. And we see that with guys that have come back and started with our offseason program and guys that have joined a few weeks in. It's just different. I know they're working and think that they're trying to get in shape, but that's just not the case."

"That's something we have to focus on and try to make sure that we're getting some work in with all of them," Vrabel added. "Trying to be as smart as we possibly can."

Tennessee selected Burks with the 18th pick in the draft, which was acquired from the Eagles in the trade for A.J. Brown. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Burks led Arkansas in receiving each of the last three seasons.
