Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks is battling some setbacks during offseason workouts.

Before practice Tuesday morning, Titans wide receiver coach Rob Moore discussed the progress of the 22-year-old rookie from Arkansas.

Talking through the learning curve of performing at a professional level, Moore said Burks is battling several obstacles out of his control, including asthma.

Despite going over his setbacks after practice, Burks was unavailable on Tuesday morning, per ESPN's Turron Davenport

Titans coach Mike Vrabel also mentioned that he was aware of Burks' medical history prior to drafting him, but is confident that his issues will be resolved by training camp.

The diagnosis doesn't come as a huge surprise since Burks has been limited in the first couple open sessions of organized team activities. He reportedly didn't finish the first day of rookie minicamp practice in May, and was caught using an inhaler. Burks was also pulled from individual drills at one point to have ice placed on his neck.

On the other hand, Burks refuted the setbacks and told reporters that he doesn't have any concerns.

“I don’t really worry about them at all,” Burks said following practice last Wednesday. “Everyone is going to have setbacks. It’s just how you come back and attack it and keep going.”

After playing three seasons at Arkansas, Burks selected by the Titans as the 18th pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The Titans are scheduled to have another OTA workout on Thursday before mandatory minicamp begins on June 14.
